Certainly a lovely place but when you have trvelled half way round the world to get there you do not expect building work, broken door locks,dirty linen and closed bars.People were lovely but constantly trying to get you to use their friends to take you on trips.Somewhat disappointed.

We loved our stay there and still say things like ("remember in Bali.....") the hotel was lovely and relaxed and not too "resorty" meaning it was really easy to get out there and see the real Bali but also come back to the intimate luxury and wonderul service which we so enjoyed. At the Bali Hyatt we felt like movie stars, the service was so fantastic. We did go straight after a bomb, but never once in a million years regretted our decision.

Can't wait to get back!!

Top Local Tips for Bali

Bali Collection for Lunch and Dinner Bali Collection is good for a spot of late night shopping (although more expensive than the usual Kuta shopping) and has some well-priced restaurants with a very friendly local 'Bali Collection Kitty'. You can still barter at these shops even though they try to pretend you can't. They're struggling so you can get a good deal. The imitation MontBlanc & Dupont pens are quite good value!

Airport aids Be firm when dealing with carousel porters at the airport. They snatch your suitcase out of your hands whilst you try pulling it off the carousel then expect a huge tip (they even have the cheek to ask for another £5 + for their friends!!). Make sure you're firm and don't let them near you (unless of course you need help at the luggage carousel!).
