Top Local Tips for Varanasi
Peaseful Varanasi The crowd and beggars are a site to see and takes a little to get use to. But, seeing the sunset and the people as the welcome the morning made me feel like I was in place of peace and my every day chores were meaning less compare to these few moments that people take.
Sense of India India is a dream destination, with abundant history and 5000 years old culture. It can't be imagined or read or heard to,thus i planned a 3 weeks long voyage to India. As per my usual habit,i did a research on the areas that would be of my interest and wrote to almost about 10 operators including the ones in India who i often called "ones sitting on the other side of the computer".In just a couple of days time, i received itineraries and quotes from 8 of those.I sat down reviewing and compairing, which could only confuse me almost totally.Just before i was about to shorlist a few, i received a call from a gentleman called Manish, who was apparently one of the operators from India and had submitted a quote earlier.he was very patient and heard me through and after about 40 mins of telecon, convinced me to let him arrange my travel with 3 other friends.I liked his way of explaining things and understanding our nature of travel and putting things as per our interest. We reached India on the 25th October with our fingures crossed as we had heard so many negative reviews about india and tour operators who would charge money in advance and not showup at the airport but after our series of communications with manish's company " India vacations",we realised that, it was worth taking that risk.We were much relieved when we saw someone standing with a paging in our name and he was the tour manager from India vacations. We were escorted to our hotel and we found that our checkin was already done much before in order to save time in the middle of night. We were only too impressed with the professionalism and were sure of the competent service further. Our voyage to the most extra ordinary country started and we visited Delhi-Udaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Bikaner-Khimsar-mandawa-Jaipur- ranthambore-Agra-Khajuraho-varanasi-Goa & Mumbai. We were offered the most beautiful and value for money hotels and a luxury transport on some of the most chaotic indian roads. Our driver Mr Singh was indeed the most efficient driver and took care of our needs and understood what it takes to be a good ambassador of the country and the company he was working for. The time flew and we were in goa on a lovely beach for the last 4 days of our trip to relax and put things in perspective....HUH...I still cant believe we did it and with no hassle. I am posting this review for all those who have heard bad about India and are hesitant in going there. The only caution is to look for a professional and intelligent tour operator who make sthe worlds difference to your travel. I strongly recomment the company India vacations www.india-vacations.net and can assure you of the fact that you would have a nice trip. You may write to firstname.lastname@example.org and if you have 2 - 3 weeks, try out the trip i did with my friends. It was the best trip of my life time and i am planning to return in 2009 to visit the south of India. My favourite city in India is varanasi, you simply cant imagine, how spiritual and enchanting this place is.
