Very overrated Ooty is interesting to see for its remnants of Britishness, and for a short toy train journey through the Nilgiris to Coonoor, but other than that, forget it! The town is dirty, potholes for roads and the place is existing on its former reputation, I believe. Even in the tea plantations there is litter everywhere. A big disappointment.

Vew as you're leaving town. the view just as you're leavng Ooty , descending the winding road toward Mudumalai, is specatcular. The mists rolling in through the green hills--wow! have your camera ready, but be careful of stopping at the edge of the road!
