Owners: really nice people that do a great job of keeping the rooms clean and have a friendly attitude.
Appearance: Really cute place with nice landscaping.
Room: Really Decent as far as Indian standards neat and clean.
Extras: There is always fresh coffee (or tea) and a nice conversation waiting for you at the front desk.

Had a very comfortable stay here, have enjoyed the hot showers, the spa and the comfy beds! The staff also very helpful and friendly. Good value for money also. Will definitely recommend to passing travellers.

Service & cleanliness found in Kashmir where it's hard to find. Originally true friends, we found new friends in Swiss hotel, forget about the houseboats, Swiss hotel is the place to go.
After 4 painful days in kashmir in dreadful houseboats we could finally relax and enjoy our vacation.
But don't trust me, come and see for yourself I'm pretty sure you'll find yourself writing a comment similar to this.

Being a frequent traveller to different destinations of world I came across this beautiful hotel. Its recomended by lonely planet, yahoo, Inda Tourism books and off course on thorn tree. The people here are very friendly and helpful in all matters. This hotel I personally feel is the best for a traveller who really enjoys his travel, in such a good price so beautiful service its really worth.
Swiss hotel keep it up.

Top Local Tips for Srinagar

Swiss Hotel Kashmir is a place to stay Dont trust me come and look yourself you will feel yourself writing these words like me.

Tourist spots Went almost to every part of Srinagar as mentioned by the lonely planet guide. Its a wonderful and a handy thing to carry with while travelling.

Houseboats Always check up on the current political situation and travel advisories before commiting to a trip to Kashmir. Don't pre-sign a houseboat agreement before arriving in Srinagar. Avoid the touts and the pseudo travel agencies elsewhere in India that urge you to sign on the dotted line for this beautiful boat that turns out to be far less than promised once you arrive and see it. There are plenty of boats and it's best to see one up close and meet the owner first before signing any contract from a thousand miles away. Don't be sorry and discover you've been cheated (quality etc.), once you arrive and see the actual boat. A bit more difficult to describe is the possible intent of some of these houseboat owners who threaten to call the police and say you've stolen something from the boat when you discover how bad the boat actually is and try to get out of your contract. My advice: Don't pre-sign any houseboat contract no matter how good they make it sound.
