Top Local Tips for Srinagar
SPS will have new digs soon! This is not the reason which brings you to Srinagar but once there do take time to check out the Sir Pratap Singh Museum, soon to move to a newly constructed custom built home. The current building is historic (built in 1872) but not in great shape. Once there, check out the single piece brass frame showing the avtaars of vishnu. The central image, sadly, is missing but the piece by itself is a masterful.
Family Getaway Try and avoid touts for Hotel and tours. Ask the hotel staff to arrange. Also avoid sales boats and touts at Dal lake. You wont miss anything.
