Clothing for women Srinagar is a very Muslim area, and ALL women wear something that covers their rears. This means wearing a salwar kameez, or similar, so that something covers your bum over pants. We felt MUCH less conspicuous once we bought these long wool overdresses to go over our jeans/sweaters.
