Poorly maintained rooms - but nice food

Rooms were poorly maintained, especially the bathrooms. Old, poorly maintained furniture in the name of 'Heritage'in the rooms. Locationally, far from Mall and hence peaceful, but quite a walk from there if you dont like to walk up the hill.

The toy train The 5 1/2 hour trin jouney, can be made more comfortable if you use the Shivalik deluxe train, a bit more money, but you get food, and reclining seats.

Cool Summer! The best time to visit this property is from Feb - April. The weather is awesome! One actually gets to experience 'spring'... But if you love the cold, then you must venture during the months from Oct - Jan..

Vice Regal Lodge Must see! it's a grand colonial structure...right out of one of those Victorian novels...
