Understood that it was in the rainy season, but the first room I tried had mould all over the ceiling, and after 4 rooms, each as dirty as the next, I gave up. Mouldy shower curtains, filthy doors, all rooms smell like moth balls. And don't think you can go on the veranda, the monkeys won't let you. They charged 12.24 % taxes, plus a 10% luxury tax Plus a 4% service charge. I mean, really. There are less expensive hotels in Matheran that are better. Food was good, though.
