Day trip or stop over on the way to somewhere else We were disappointed in Pushkar and didn't feel we needed to stay overnight. Half a day gives you a taste for it is not a big place. More of a day trip from somewhere else. The fake priests, touts, hawkers and beggars take away the spiritual edge and, in our experience, even the Indian tour guides do not like to work in the town. If you do visit keep a careful eye on your camera, wallet etc even more so than in the rest of Rajasthan

book in advance if you are travelling in november/dec/jan its bst to book in advance as places fill up fast due to pushkar fair and a lot of tourists coming that time. stay away from touts there and directly call the hotel.
