I was in this hotel for 5 nites @ 2000/- per room with breakfast and finded the hotel excellent. It was all wi-fy enabled and very neat & clean property. Breakfast was continental as mentioned while booking and also had a free pickup. Would definately look for stay there again. Staff was obedient & they treat you nicely.

I don't understand those first reviews at all! It was definitely the worst hotel I've stayed ever. It was very very dirty and awful hotel! The staff was very very impolite!! Absolutely unbelievable how they tried to con us and how they treated their customers! We arrived at the hotel middle of the night as I had informed the hotel by email and I hadn't ordered any pick-up service as they blamed. They didn't even offered or discussed anything about it when I booked the hotel and still though I could approved it they blamed and wanted us to be charged for it. Rooms were very dirty but we thought that we could manage the booked couple nights.. Next morning someone came to knock our door and said we have to move from our room. We were very surprised and this guy told us that there were other people coming to that room and they just had given us it as there were no other rooms available. We tried to find a good solution but as they just kept being very nasty we decided to leave and that was the best solution! If something like that happens in a hotel it could be done in a polite way but not in this hotel. Delhi is full of much nicer hotels/hostels!! I don't understand where are those pics taken of "Welcome Palace" not in that place at least where the map is pointing. So consider carefully before choosing if not going during the high season I'd absolutely recommend u to book it when you arrive there. Then you can see what kind of accommodation it really is. We found much nicer hotels in Paharganj though it reputation was supposed to be not that good! It's really great place and there you can find very low budget and good quality as well! It's very good located and e.g. you can take the new metro to many places.

Looks like from the type of reviews, the hotel has different kinds of rooms/floors.

I checked in to this hote on Mar 1, 2007 and check out with in an hour, inspite of having 4 rooms booked there!! One of the worst hotels I have been to and frankly speaking I found it like a cheap lodge..
A maize of rooms, with lot of small doors in the corridor (may be for storing bed linen or toilets) in the corridor, with every nook which ahs some space filled with clothes, bed lines etc. It is not meant for a family at all...

for all that they are priced so high..Thank God, We found a very good hotel near by for a better price...

I just hated the word Welcome after going to this hotel..

AVOID this palce at all costs

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in . The room we were staying in was old, infested with cockroaches and other insects, the bed linen was filthy and we were given this room despite the fact that the hotel was completly empty! We requested another room which was just as bad, but not infested with cockroaches! I would not recommend this hotel as we found a three star hotel down the road for less or equivalent which was cleaner, nicer and friendly.

The hotel is located in Karol Bagh which is a very busy area in the centre of Delhi and the location of hotel in excellent. Karol Bagh is good for shopping and it is easy for variety of food, traspotations.
As promised, I was provided with complimentary pickup from the airport which is 30 mins away from the hotel. The hotel's first floor and ground floor and done excellent. The rooms however are spacious and tastefully decorated, spread over 3 floors. The most important thing is that the rooms are all clean and air conditioned. Free internet access is also provided in the hotel's reception

The Whole hotel staff, including its drivers, are all very polite and friendly. Sightseeing tours are available in comfortable air conditioned vehicles.

I was delighted with the quality of the food at the hotel. The menu contained an assortment of dishes at very resonable prices, all cooked traditionally. I highly recommend the "Butter Chicken & Dal Makhani"!

Overall I was happy with my 3 nights stay at the hotel. If you're looking for a good 3 star hotel at a reasonable rate, located in the centre of Delhi, then this hotel is definitely yes for u! Mr.Ankit Miglani is the director reservations there who has an excellent handling from time of check in to check out.

The room price was 2100 with breakfast. Hotel is located on main street with free ample parking. The Management is being looked by 25 yrs old young guy who handles the guest very happily and always smiling nature. I would really recommend people to go for it.

Top Local Tips for New Delhi

Don't Assume Rickshaw and taxi drivers will always tell you they know where your destination is, and then begin to ask everyone in sight how to get there. It can be maddening and a slow process to get anywhere except the most well-known locations. On the upside--you get to see a lot enroute.

Hot and humid August can be very hot and humid if it hasn't rained. Some sights are closed to the public few days before August 15th.

Use the Metro Use the Delhi Metro! Its the best way for transportation in Delhi and also the cheapest where people do not try to con you!
