It was indeed a memorable stay at The Connaught New Delhi. We had been on trip to Delhi , Agra and some of other north indian States. Though our booking was at some other hotel but as we did not like that hotel we went to see The Connaught. We were happy to see the large Lobby with a Tea Lounge serving a number of pastries and godd quality of cofee and Tea. The Staff was very corteous and always smiling.Staff in Rooms was very cooperative. Breakfast was lavish keeping in view all type of guests. Live breakfast was very enjoyable. would like to stay once again in our next vacations

I had a group staying at the hotel. It was a
great choice as we were around 31 people all ages. It was great for the teenagers to go to Connaught Pl. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a good hotel which you normally can't make out from outside. The hotels rooms are good and locations is fantastic. Service is good, can improve though...!

I go to India annually and always stay at the Connaught. I have found the staff to be very helpful, the breakfast is good and rooms are clean. Plus the location can't be beat- it is in walking distance of Connaught Place.
As a woman traveling alone, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Top Local Tips for New Delhi

Beware tour guides Our tour guide tried to take us to certain shops to buy gifts, but they were more expensive and we could have got it cheaper from other shops or from the markets, but he refused to take us there. It could have been because he was getting commission from these shops.

Go in dry season - driving - Applies to North India --- Nov-March good. Many weddings and dry. Don't attempt to drive yourself. Many hazards-Get a driver. Bring all your medications plus those for diarrhea and constipation. Take a day to acclimate before starting a tour. - It's a long trip to get there.

Indira Ghandi International Airport, Delhi The International airport has been revamped since my previous visit 12 months prior. The floors are clean, uniformed and handpicked helpful grround staff, shops!! This airport will be completely replaced over the next 18 months and will be 10 times the present size. Delhi International Airport will become the largest airport in the world, in preparationfor the October 2010 Commonwealth Games.
