The hotel was not so good not so bad...

we were visting first time in the matheran & v choose to go with Rangoli Retreat. But i have experienced worst expereince in my life.So small room (commitment of giving big room) & wash room are not clean & also there hotel staff is mannerless.

The manager gave a precious help for flight confirmation and taxi to Mumbai. And it was not a problem we asked to move to another room.

We checked in on Saturday Night & Check out in Monday Morning. All Staff members, food are rooms are excellent. Swimming pool is also really cool. Only one thing we missed - is First Aid.. We need to hunt for a doctor at night 1 AM. Rest Everything is Cool !! and this Hotel is Excellent.

Take the toy train to Matheran The best way to reach Matheran is by narrow-gauge (toy) train from Neral. It is a fascinating ride, with great views, and puts you right in the centre of Matheran, which does not allow any vehicular traffic in the town. You can reach Neral quite easily by commuter train from CST station, Mumbai, though avoid the rush hours! The only way to get around Matheran is by walking or by horseback or cart. It is a unique location in India, and well worth visiting for the beauty, peace and tranquility - and the train ride!

The Various Points Ensure you make a deal with one person who has horses. You can make a deal with that guy for ur entire trips. This will ensure that you are not hassled everytime you decide to have a look around.
