Excellent site, good facilities, however a little misunderstanding about the included breakfast, you must specify the fixed (indian style) breakfast, or be charged for an equally good a la carte breakfast, may disrupt your depature. Friendly staff, the R1200 rooms are excellent and the R1600 give a touch of the Raj style and AC. At the moment has a very friendly, competent and helpful manager, with friendly helpful staff. Next to the main lake/tank 1 km. through town so effectively out in the countryside and adjacent to some fine ruins.
Things to remember in Mandu... Hire bicycles for mobility ... Electricity supply is erratic, ... Foreign Exchange opportunities limited ... the shop recommended in the Lonely Planet really does seem to have everything you run out of.

It is difficult but possible to get to Mandu by bus from Indore (direct or via Dhar) ... Bus staff really friendly and helpful. Use the money you save by using local buses to afford the best place out of/in town and experience a hint of affordable style and luxury. Only 5* backpackers would find this place a disappointment.

If trade is slack you might be able to negotiate a small discount.
