After scanning many websites and references to find a place in Manali hesitantly chose to stay at the Banon Resorts in Manali. I had booked myself for 2 days in a cottage.

Wowwwwwww I was happy to have chosen this property. Hospitable staff, prompt service, very well heated rooms(espcially for we central Indians who never know what cold is) > The rooms were very large and comfortable. Food was a trophy. Gardens and the open spaces around were beautiful. Views were picturesque. I finally ended up staying a week there.
Boss if you go to MAnali - stay at the Banons.
You will not be disappointed. Thanks to you all at the Banon Resorts

Top Local Tips for Manali

Do an overnight trip with High Mountain Adventures Even if you're not a mountaineer, try an overnight hike with an outfitter. We used High Mountain Adventures, (contacted through Banon Resorts) and had a wonderful time. They set us up with a great, english speaking guide/cook, plus 4 porters to carry all our stuff. We went up to a mountain near Manali, saw glaciers, had an AMAZING 6-course meal cooked for us from scratch, boxed lunches, water and had an all-around amazing time---All for a paltry $250.

Reaching Manali Manali is located in Himachal Pradesh which is a hilly region & hence travelling around is possible only by road & it takes considerable time to reach various destinmations hecne plan your travel such that you have adequate cover to provide for breakdown or for some quick bite on the way
