This was the worst experience I had when it comes to staying in hotels. I would like to advise all who visit Lonavala that you resist from taking a room in this hotel.
Here is my experience. I checked in on 14th of August for 2 days and I was impressed by the hotel staff's diplomatic behavior! The next day i.e on 15th I was on a sight seeing trip that the receptionist calls me and tells me that i'll have to vacate as the room has been booked by some other people. And he insisted that he had informed me of this when I checked in on the previous day! I refused to take his argument saying that if he had he told me the situation the previous day, I would never have taken a room there.
So I come back in the afternoon thinking I'll better check out than live in such a dingy place, the guy over the counter tells me that I have to pay 50% of that day's charges! After some argument he lowered the claim to 25%. But what I didn't understand is why I should pay for the double booking that the hotel has done. I am sure they must have used this tactic to may others to cash in on some of the empty rooms.
But now you know what to do! Avoid staying at this hotel.
