As consumers who care to get value for what they spend... we were looking for a hotel that could offer us comfort, good service and decent food to keep us going...
And in this SUN CITY ... I must say we were able to find one..
Its a elegant place with comfortable rooms with management that is professional in their dealings and staff that is friendly and helpful.
The food at restaurant was excellent especially the Thali was our favorite.
Another advantage... hotel is a stone's throw away from the fort.. and has amazing views.
Some might find reaching the hotel a little difficult but hey!!... if you are interested in seeing the true culture and lifestyle of this country ... this is a great place.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a decent place in Jodhpor.

Very nice atmosphere and service- one of our favs

My husband and I stayed here in May 2007 (it was so hot we nearly melted outside), and we really loved it. We have travelled extensively around India and appreciated this stay. Ashish, the manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was a brilliant blue. The value was fantastic (we paid around $35/night for low season rates). The internet was good and complimentary, as well as an airport pick up! We loved the KP special thali, the staff, and the atmosphere. Right in the middle of the city!! The food was better than up at the palace. Breckie was relaxing.
greta havelli and really helpful staff
from aidyonline
i'll keep this short. basically we loved this havelli. it was right in the middle of the town next to the fort and the staff were so friendly and welcoming and helpful. the rooms were decent as was the bathroom. not brilliant, but decent. with A/C and TV.
there was free internet also which was nice. there is a restaurant on site which was good for simple stuff like toasted sandwiches and banana pancakes etc. service was quite slow though. and in a rather bizarre way! my friends were served their hot cooked meals long before i finally got my cornflakes! don't know what took so long in 'making' the cornflakes...
anyway the best thing about this place was the staff they were really helpful and pleasant, and the havelli itself was great.

Great Hotel

We booked the hotel on the net and were presently surprised when we got there. The staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome...while its not a 5 star hotel and you get what you pay for. Excellent location, great staff, free internet, typical average bathroom, but hey thats just India right! We are a couple of kiwis and by no means "staff". Oh and absolutely great restaurant too.....factastic butter chicken.....the 'whole chicken' option is definitely enough for 2....washed down with a few kingfishers and a couple of garlic nann....magic!!!
Beautiful Hotel
from Nickknock
A very beautiful hotel, with great views of the fort. The city was horriable but the Fort and this hotel, were very nice. The room was large and air conditioned. The place was very clean. (no small thing in many places in India). The only thing I would improve would be the Hotel's restaurant , which looked very nice, but the service was very slow.
loved the hotel, but some quirks might annoy others

We called the hotel about an hour before arriving in Jodhpur and the owner told us to call back once we reached the clock tower. I asked why we couldn't just drive to the hotel on our own....well that became obvious once he picked us up at the clock tower and we followed his motorcycle through the alleys! But this is an adventure!
Our room was on the second floor...3rd floor in USA. Long marble staircases winding up. No screens on the windows, no hot water initially until we figured out how to turn it on, and no toilet paper....but we just bought some at the shop nearby.
But the location is great, the staff friendly, and one can literally walk up to the fort from just outside the hotel. Food was also wonderful...dining on the roof. We would stay here again. I mean who cares if you are on the 3rd floor as long as those young guys are willing to haul my bags up and down for 50 rupees! And you can walk all around central Jodhpur from there. Of course the streets aren't marked, so just remember landmarks unless you are going to take an auto rickshaw after you get lost!

Stay Away - Avoid at all costs
from travtk
bad location, dirty, bad rooms, average service, no basic amenities. All good reviews i have seen on the net for this place must be lies. Very old rooms & bathrooms - you must be a trekker.
stay away - avoid at all costs.

Hello,
My name is Luis Ferrari. I am a journalist for Brazilian major daily newspaper, "Folha de S.Paulo".
On my work, often I use tripadvisor to collect information. Now, I'm in vacation in India, and, as always, with my tripadvisor guide.
As I gained from the quality of your information, I would like to recommend this wonderful hotel where I am with my wife, in Jodhpur, Krishna Prakash Heritage Haveli.
It's in a historical building, being took care by the same family for a long time, with a marvelous view, both to the city and to Meherangarh Fort. The restaurant is awsome and not expensive, but the main attraction is the service provided by everyone. They made we feel at home, which is half the way of the planet far, even doing things that were not they responsability, such as helping in booking hotels for other cities of our trip, offering internet service for FREE, just to please us.
As a journalist and as a frequent user of tripadvisor, I strongly recomend this lovely hotel to all reader of tripadvisor.

We hated this place!
from varga
We fled this hotel after one night as we did not want to spoil our stay in Jodhpur. I booked the place because of the tripadvisor ratings and was highly disappointed.
If you are looking for nondescript, dark and muggy rooms with ugly and dusty plastic funiture, please go there. If you want to be greeted in the morning by the manager in a sweaty undershirt and have food on the most basic roof terrace I have ever seen in India: this is your place.
For all of you who are looking for a truly stunning hotel in the same price range, we highly recommend Ratan Vilas (--). It was the most lovely place we have been during our entire stay in Rajasthan.

Really good now - will be great when fully completed

My husband and I stayed at the KP Haveli during our two month trip to India. We found the owners to be extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The double room we had with ac was very clean, good bathroom, lovely furniture/furnishings and a really authentic charming haveli feel to it. The ac was brand new and in excellent working order which was a lifeline in the forty-five degree heat of Jodhpur! We have been traveling for one year and stayed in many many hotels and this was one full of character and charm and at a very reasonable rate. There was some final building/renovation work going on but this didn't affect us at all. It looks good already but promises to be pretty amazing when complete. Would recommend for young couples, travellers, and apparently there is a small back-packer section with cheaper rooms for those on a tighter budget.
Oh and we enjoyed visiting "Gucci" at the family run internet cafe/shop across the road.... lovely family.
