I stayed for one day and worst experience, May be you will get extra bill at the time of checkout as I got beer on my bill which I never had. Strange to see such a nice beer on my bill.

It was a wonderful experience the staff was great. Never thought small town of Tatas can provide such hospitality. Rooms where spacious and comfortable food was very good..Call the chef if u want to have different from the menu.

Bugs in the room

Part of the hotel was being repaired during my stay of a single night. The rooms were fairly spacious, and clean but not luxury class. The bathroom was not terrible but older and plain. Wooden external doors and windows would not close completely letting a lot of bugs in the room and a lot of street noise (dogs barking). The restuarant was pretty decent for dinner and breakfast. The staff was neutral - not overly friendly. I tended to be a bit more careful about water quality in this hotel suspecting an antiquated water treating system.

I stayed in the Regent for 3 weeks. It's no Taj. What it is is a basic, workmanlike hotel, that provides OK accomodation (showers, no baths), adequate buffet (although try the Chinese restaurant upstairs), good bar, and limited facilities (don't expect a gym, or swimming pool!). There is a business centre with Internet access, but no internet access in the rooms (which is a bit of a comedown from the hotels in Calcutta, which almost all have wireless broadband). The staff are friendly enough.
