Hotel Pearl Palace is run by a lovely couple, Mr. & Mrs. Singh. It's clean, quiet and very comfortable, with pretty balconies ac room, it's great to escape the hustle and bustle of Jaipur and return to the beautifully decorated room and rooftop. We ate in nearly every night, as apart from being tired after a day's sight seeing, the meal was delicious and very good value. There is internet on hand and always an auto rickshaw driver waiting at the end of the drive to take you into Jaipur.

Price are best suitable to all class I have visited this hotel around 12 times and every time I found some thing new in it, its open roof top restaurant and some arts collection displayed over there. How can I forget its candle light dinner? It's an amazing experience over all
I hope to be there more than one more time…

The Pearl Palace Hotel in Jaipur filled my Herat with joy and peace. I needed absolutely nothing more than going to the Rooftop restaurant to feel that India was the most friendly place to be. The food was great up there, but more than that it was about the details in decoration and music which made it so special.

Although simple and definitively inexpensive, the room was all I needed in such a place, and it also offered me good rest.

Thank you very much for opening your home's door to us, and for showing how much you really care for your clients, by punting love and care in every single centimeter of the Pearl Palace…

Historical Traveller Reviews of Hotel Pearl Palace

A great place to stay in Jaipur!

from wallace63
We stayed in the Pearl Palace for five nights during the end of February, 2007. Our experience there was excellent, and I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. There were several specific things that stood out during our stay:

-->Cleanliness: Our room was very clean and comfortable, as was the entire property.

-->Staff: All of the hotel staff (and especially Mr. Singh) were very friendly and helpful. They arranged autorickshaw service with an excellent driver, and provided very good suggestions for day trips. The hotel has a brochure called “Jaipur for Aliens” that gives great information on the city, including the appropriate rates for specific taxi/rickshaw trips – this was very, very nice to have.

-->Atmosphere: The hotel had an atmosphere of tranquility and security that was a pleasure to come back to after the daily crush of Jaipur. The rooftop restaurant is *beautiful*, and the food is yummy, safe (all fruits and veggies washed in iodine water), and very affordable.

-->Value: All this, and a double room with a private shower and bath for only R500/night!!

Delightful Hotel

from Sandy/Art/Nomad
I really loved the Hotel Pearl Palace. It was the most delighful thing about Jaipur. The rooms were clean and recently painted with beautiful borders. There were paintings on the walls in the halls giving a feeling reminescent of old India. As an artist, I spent a number of dawns painting the rooftop garden restaurant which had a lovely view of an old fort. There were these wonderful whimsical chairs there that were designed by the owner and each one was different from the others. Both the food and service was good as well. If I return to Jaipur I would stay there again. One of the tiny niceties they did was to put my passport number with experation date and other details on a card for me. I didn't really get excited about this detail until later when my passport was stolen and I discovered what an absolute godsend this card was.

an oasis in the desert

me and my wife stayed here in jan for 6 nights.
we booked directly on their website which was very easy.
the hotel is very unique and a work of art thanks to the owners mr & mrs singh.
the rooms are much better then 4* star hotels i've stayed in india.
i can't thank the staff enough to make the stay a memoable one.
the food is fantastic with a choice for everyone as my wife is veggie and me a meat lover.
one thing i would like to say is i never felt unsafe here, there is a family feel about this hotel which i can tell you makes all the difference.
at the time we were there we were the only indians staying at the hotel which i found strange as we indians like a bargain and this hotel is a massive bargain.
once again i would like to send my heartfell thanks to all of the pearl palace staff and owners and hope to see you soon.

creative wonder

from 11april
We really enjoyed staying here- it was the first place where we felt able to relax, and is certainly the best accommodation we have stayed in during our travels around India.

Admittedly we stayed in a more 'upmarket' room than some of the rest, but from what we could see all of the rooms, including the budget ones, were perfectly clean, had hot water and were well presented.

Our room was lovely ( and a great deal nicer than all of the other rooms we have had when we have paid twice as much). The rooftop restaurant has great views and the interior decor is the best we have seen in a hotel. The owner is very proud of his family's creative side, and rightly so- the attention to detail is astonishing. (It took three men 18 months to hand paint the ceilings alone).

I would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends. There is no hard sell here, and no commission paid to touts. The owner is concerned with business in the long term, and knows the best way to get that is to keep his customer happy....and from what we could see, his customers were very happy.

Go, and enjoy!

unhelpfull staff

firstly i,d like to say that this review is nothing to do with the owners of pearl palace which i never met. i had booked this hotel from reviews id seen on the net. i had told them that id be arriving at 5.00 am and that i required a room for three people. when we arrived no-one was at the station to meet us, so we got a rickshaw to the hotel. we was greeted by a half asleep very rude man, but im sure we was as tired as him. he informed us that our room was not available and there was no other rooms for 2 hours. so advised us we,ed have to stay in the computer room until one was ready. i was not pleased because of my young daughter was tired and quite ill. then after an hour and a half someone left for the airport and we was offered this room. the bed was still warm. so we just left and found somwhere else. its a shame because this hotel has good reviews and the owners are meant to be nice helpful people. perhaps it was just bad luck. but the guy on the desk that morning was so rude and un helpful.
Management Response from Mr.Singh
I just read the review and the first action was that the front desk night manager and the night duty room boy lost their jobs. We are very clear in our reservation form on our website regarding the following:
1. Free pick up service is available from 7 A.M to 10.30 P.M. This is a complimentary service and is not charged in the room rent.

2. Early morning arrival may have to wait till 9 A.M .As soon as a room is available it will be given to them. If a guest arrives early in the morning we try to give the guest a place where he can sit and relax and use the washroom.

3. Regarding check in if you check into the hotel after 6’clock in the morning you will be charged for one day. Checkout is at 12.00 noon of the following day. There are no charges for the additional hours if you check in into the hotel early in the morning .

Our first priority is to satisfy our guests to the best of our ability but in some circumstances after all we are all humans and can make mistakes .But it is always our
sincere effort to improve. It would have been better if the guest had asked for me personally right then when he was here and surely I would have helped him out.

Absolutely Loved It!

I stayed at the Pearl Palace for 2 nights in early December and could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone from the desk staff to the housekeeping staff were courteous, efficient and eager to please.

As for the hotel itself, the lobby areas are very well maintained and the room was spotless and spacious. The roof-top restaurant is fantastic, I ate dinner and breakfast there twice and the food was both fresh and tasty.

Make no mistake - this is not the Oberoi, nor does it claim to be. What it is is a very clean, friendly, and most importantly fun hotel in one of the best locations in the city. If you're looking for snob appeal, keep looking.

I had the great honor of meeting Mr. Singh, the owner of the hotel, and my compliments to him for running such a tight ship. Next time I’m back in town I will certainly be back as the Pearl Palace, which is -- in my mind -- one of the best values in hotel accomodation that I've encountered.

just the best

from footloose_too
We stayed here at the beginning of October, when we were passing through on our way to Bikaner and were so impressed that we rebooked for when we were to stay for a few days later on that month.

Mr Singh's business experience shows through and everything runs like clockwork. The rooms we had were spacious and spotless and the restaurant is so good that we didn't bother to eat elsewhere. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Overall one of the best places that we stayed in during our 2 months in India and one of the least expensive

Calm in the eye of the storm

We stayed at the Hotel Pearl Palace for two nights in November and found it a lovely respite from the hectic streets of Jaipur. For a budget room it far surpassed our expectations and was one of the nicest places we stayed during our time in India. The rooftop garden restaurant is not to be missed for the artful decor and beautiful flowering plants as well as for the tasty food. We booked ahead via the internet and were met at the train station for a ride to the hotel. If you're going to Jaipur you should stay here (and make your reservtions well ahead)

A great place to stay.

from sunljones
What a deal! You simply can't ask for more for the money.

This hotel has a great central location but is tucked away in a neighborhood so that you don't hear all of the traffic only a block or two away. The rooms are clean although I would suggest taking a sheet if space in your suitcase allows. The bedding is such that you have a bottem sheet ... but no top sheet. You are provided with blankets but I am not sure that they are washed as frequently as you may hope for. Our room had a/c and a ceiling fan.

The commen areas of this hotel are what make it really great. This hotel has a roof top resturant that is just perfect. They serve great food for super low prices. We stayed for 3 nights and ate at least one meal at the hotel everyday. The rooftop resturant was an oasis ... it is a great place to start your day with a $1.00 breakfast or end your days with a snack and a drink.

This hotel is extremely busy. When we checked in ( around 730pm ) several other travelers were waiting to see if the hotel would have any no-shows so that they could get a room. Book early and keep in contact. The owner was on site everday and easy to reach if needed.

This hotels offers internet access, laundry service, an on-call doctor ( a service that we needed and were very thankful for ) as well as assistance in booking onward travel.

It is simply impossible to ask for anymore from this hotel.
The rates are unbeatable and the resturant is a real treat.

What a great hotel. the staff were great, the food fabulous.
We had some bad experiences with other hotels in India, but the Pearl Palace was great. I reccommend this hotel very very highly.
I have travelled a fair bit, and this is the first time I have ever been tempted to do a review. If you are going to Jaipur, you simply must go to the Pearl Palace Hotel.
