Pathetic Room Service

I stayed with Mayur Hotel for a day. The room service was pathetic. In the morning they were able to serve us two aaloo paratha in 45-50 minutes. Immediately thereafter one of our guest arrived. We asked for tea through room service. We waited for 25-30 minutes for the tea to arrive. It never arrived and we with guest left the place without having tea. In the evening they kept on assuring but never served the food ordered. Finally, after waiting for 45-50 minutes we went outside and had food. I left immediately for station as I had to catch a train.

This is a good hotel located just opposite the Bus Stand. It has rooms fulfilling the needs of all the requirements and budgets. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good. The behavior and attitude of staff is also very good. Only thing, they don't book the rooms telephonically.

Top Local Tips for Guwahati

Airport transfers Take the AC bus to and from the airport. For about Rs. 150/- you can reach this hotel from the airport (ask for paltan bazar stop). A dingy cab would cost you at least Rs. 500/-.
