It is a pity that a NCR near Delhi has only such hotels and at faboulous rates. I wonder why other hotels are not coming up.

Poor Service, Careless Staff, High Price

I have travelled all over the world in more than 25 years of travel life, and have not found such poor service. I would like to approach the accreditation agency which has granted 3-star status to Shipra Hottel, Ghaziabad to rescind this rating. They are grossly misusing the 3-star rating to fleece their customers.

Out of 4 days we stayed, in cold December, there was not even hot water to take a bath in 4 rooms (we were a group). The personnel could not care less about the service. You call them for water, toilet tissue, or any other service, and you could wait forever. You talk to Duty Manager and he is equally helpless. You talk to General Manager, and he is of no help either.

Please do not waste your money on this hotel.

I have stayed at the Shipra Hotel - Ghaziabad in early 2004 for about 10 days. I found the hotel clean, drinking water clean and safe, food excellent, and service superb. I plan to stay there again for several days around the new year 2006.
