Though it claims to be 3 star hotel but it is only comparable to some general wards of state government hospitals. Rooms are not cleaned. Linens were smelly. Towels are ready to be disposed. Taps are leaking. Phone connections need to be repaired. Hotel boys were nice and helpfull. Management needs to pay attention to the condition of the hotel. There is a game room but it smells like a government health centre. Room rents are not worth 30% of what it is claimed.

Me and my wife decided to stay in Sea Hawk - 30th & 31st March '09. We took an A/C room in the VIP Building - room no.268.
What a lousy room? The room had a one ton split A/C which stopped functioning fom 31st evening - no one attended till 1st noon at the time of checking out. The room is supposed to be a Deluxe Room - plastic chairs, dirty sofa, spotted mirror, dirty toilet, old and dirty bed linen, towels which we dared not to use, a old 14" TV with poor sound, very unhygenic room. The food was served with old broken cassoroles, tea was served in steel pots - cold tea, very slow service.
The whole atmosphere is very bad. No one seems to be concerned. When we mentioned about the A/C not functioning at the reception and at the pay counter - no one was at all concerned. I put in my comments in the complaint book - but I doubt if any one ever reads that!!
We chose a good room to get good service. We pay extra to get good comfort. Sea Hawk Mnagement is not concerned for all this. Probably their Business is good and so they are not at all concerned for Customers like us. The majority of the Customers are satisfied with the ammenities - so why bother??
I hope other hotel owners will make some special rooms - where the Customer will receive 3 star or 5 star facilities for which they are ready to pay.

My daughter had come from US and time was short we decided for a weekend holiday at Digha and stayed at Hotel Sea Hawk. We had booked a 2 room cottage facing the sea. The rooms were dirty, furniture was old and broken, toilets were unclean, the linen was old and faded and the towels unusable. The service in the restaurant was lousy, the bearers were insolent and untrained. First he refused to give the menu card and insisted on verbally informing items that are available. We ordered for jumbo prawns but were served small prawns (2 small ones in a plate costing Rs 100!!). We were informed that jumbo prawns were exhausted hence small prawns were served. We refused the dish, since it was not what we had ordered. Even the restaurant manager got into an argument and supported his employee instead of apologising.
If you want to screw up your holiday, then please stay at Hotel Sea Hawk in Digha.

We stayed during the my birthday time. We got a nice room with a superb sea view, though at a steep cost (Rs 1050/day) for 2 persons. The food quality was not so good as compared to its cost. The service was not very satisfactory, however, with phone not working properly. Room was furnished nicely but the bathroom lacked regular maintenance. A little cumbersome when returning after a walk since it is located almost at the end.

Stayed during the Puja holidays. We got a nice room with a superb sea view, though at a steep cost (R 900/day) for 3 persons. The food was not to our liking though. Mainly Bengali cuisine available with only Indian quality Chinese as option. The service was not very prompt, however, with phone not working properly. Room was furnished nicely but the bathroom lacked regular maintenance. A little cumbersome when returning after a walk since it is located almost at the end. Had a nice lawn inside with kids' playing area.
