This has been most pathetic resort I have stayed in even after paying such high cost. Feel cheated as what is mentioned in the website and explained by mumbai booking office does not really exsist. They claim to have all the facilities that a resort offers and in a way they are correct as they do exist but in a very bed, unmaintained situation. Indoor game room, has pool table whose cloth is torned, table tennis which is broken, carrom which is just unplayable. They have kids play area, which has the smallest version of one slide and one sea saw. Thats it. Swimming pool water is not changed for months, so when you step in, be careful of not slipping and injuring yourself. Outdoor play area is so small that if somebody is already occupying then you have to wait for your turn. We did not dare to check sauna and steam, which they offer free after seeing the condition. We were 5friends, so booked a super delux room, which we were told is completely AC and has a living room and a bed room. So we thought it will be sufficient for 5. The first sight was itself so terrible that we immediately thought of cancelling the booking. At the staircase leading to the room, they had cloths drying of other travellers. The room has an AC which is only sufficient to cool the bed room and there is no ac in living room which has Sofa. When we asked for extra bedding they refused saying two of us have to sleep on the sofa which wasnt possible looking at the heat. So 5 of us cramped up in the small bed room the first night. Next day we had to fight with the manager to get the extra bedding. The staff was very rude and manager was equally errogant. We had paid all in advance, so we had no choice but to stay in the resort as Mumbai office outrightly rejected to cancel our booking or even give a better room. So at the end I feel cheated and would worn other fellow travellers not to visit this resort at all.

I just chanced upon this hotel while we were in Daman and must say that they were much better than the others I saw. Everything was good ,- the rooms , food , attitude and the price of course.

We stayed at this place around 15 days back during a long week-end. We had booked the Crown-Club Exotic room. Since it was a long week-end, they charged us more than the rates published on internet. The photographs which are shown on their site are from actula rooms, but glorified to the large extend. It gives wrong picture of their rooms. In reality, the rooms are very very ordinary. The A/C in our room was dripping, instead of repairing it, they simply put a towel with cellotapes on dripping point. So called stone-bath tub was ok, with lots of dirt and dust in it. In their broucher (downloaded from their web site), the exotic room was supposed to have refridgerator as well as DVD player, which was missing. When inquired about in on reception, they simply declined it. The play room is a cozy narrow room with 1 pool table and table-tennis table. The table tennis bats are all broken. The children's play area is place near reception, covered with grass, nothing else. Our room was on top floor, the staircase to the room is ordinary iron stair-case, so there are high chances of people falling off while climbing, especially children. There is no ample space for parking the car. Food is also ordinary. In happy-hours, they serve only alcohool and no other beverages are free like soft drinks or juices. So overall my advice is, don't get carried away by the images and reviews with 8-9 rating. Its simple-ordinary hotel (why it should be called as RESORT???) with bare minimum facilities.

Must say that I had a memorable Diwali at Silver Sands. Good food and great service. Plus, the Diwali Gift hamper as promised was also given to my surprise.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the worst places to stay in Daman. I was taken for a ride when I opted for a membership of this group. I got the shock of my life when I visited this property. The staff are hostile and unfriendly, the infrastructure pathetic and food is just okay. There are many excellent hotels like Sandy, Ci-da-de Daman etc. Even the MTDC resort is better. Just keep away from this group.

I was lucky to chance upon this resort while i was holidaying in Daman. As i entered i was shown the rooms and must say was very impressed with a range of rooms including the crown club range. I was staying at another hotel and decided to check out from there and shift to SILVER SANDS. The packages they offer are value for money . They have a basic gym , a swim pool , and of course a disc to dance. what more i neede for a stay for 2 nights for 1800/- per day inclusive of meals. All in all a must stay hotel in Daman.

Silver Sand resort is the most widely marketed resort on the web. But sadly it doesn't live up to the expectation. The food is just about average, the staff is again average, the room interiors are the only thing to write home about. But the towels, sheets are in very bad condition. So if you are travelling with kids make sure you carry everything. They don't even have electric kettle in the rooms forget about refrigerator. We were staying in the super deluxe AC room. They have some more new accomodation. If that has all the basic amenities which a 3 star rated resort should, then I really can't comment. And yes they also have power failures for as good as 1-2 hrs with no power back up. The gym, swimming pool, steam bath, ample parking space, etc (whaterver amenities they are advertising on the net) are just an eyewash. Value for money only for budget travellers or college group. But I would advise people with families to please check out other options in Daman which are far better.
