I recently had a visit to The Accord Metropolitan and felt compelled to write to you. I have stayed in this fine establishment about 15 times, and each time is as good as the last. I initially stayed there, while on business in Chennai, but now go for relaxing weekends. The recent extension, and addition of the Spa service, has made a wonderful location even better. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. From the moment I arrive, I am greeted by friendly, efficient staffs, who go out of their way, to make your stay memorable. On my latest visit, we arrived at my room, to find a note from the General Manager, welcoming me back. They had also left us 2 small bottles of baileys, a bucket of ice and a jar of bath salts. Needless to say, my wife got the bath salts, while the baileys was for me.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Accord Metropolitan and had a wonderful time. We were very well looked after, the place and service was excellent. Our kids had sent us there for South India Pilgrimage - we live in Punjab - We had a great time with the CEO, GM and staff at the hotel because of this coincidence, they even upgraded our room! We will certainly go back and would highly recommend The Accord Metropolitan – Mr. Arora

When I walked into the lobby it was nicely decorated, nice flower arrangement, spacious, seating area nearby, the staff were incredibly friendly and best of all they managed to sort out the cab driver that was trying to cheat us! Check in went smooth with no problems which is always great when you've been traveling for about hours.

I Stayed 10 nights at The Accord Metropolitan May 2009 and enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. With access to the lounge for happy hours and at evening, it was great having a place to meet colleagues. The food was excellent.

The Accord Metropolitan hotel offers good value for money. Above the smart lobby towers an excellent hotel with spacious rooms and perfect amenities. The staffs are always friendly and helpful. The Pergola restaurant is excellent and offers great views and cuisine. The hotel is locating in center of city with many good shops, within easy walking distance. I did have minor problem with my internet which was rectified quickly and efficiently. They also have a nice nightspot called OPM.

Me & my wife arrived early in the morning, the staff are so nice that they let us to check-in earlier so that we can put down our luggage and start our work. Room is clean and the hotel is in the city centre. We love this hotel and will definitely stay there again next time when we visit Chennai

The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. We were there for vacation. I think it is a nice informal hotel for tourists also to stay in city. Good relationship between price/quality. I would advice people to go there.

I am regular visit to Chennai and happenned to stay at The Accord since my regular hotel was unavailable. Without expecting too much, I checked in to the hotel and was truly surprised by what I saw. Staff were very friendly and were keen to see that I was comfortable. The restaurant at the lobby area served some good buffets. Not to miss is their new roof top restaurant with great views and good cuisine. During my departure after four nights in the hotel, I was patting myself for having found a new home in Chennai!

By mistake i had left behind some of my expensive toiletries in the hotel. When I arranged for the collection , after a month, I found that most of the expensive items were missing. I would believe that this amounts to your personal items being stolen, while at the custody of the hotel. I would strongly recommend to avoid staying in this hotel.

Top Local Tips for Chennai

How to survive 1.) Make sure you bring an antibiotic and maybe some Tums. The possibility of getting sick from the food and water is very high. I didn't drink the water, but I did get sick. Good thing I brought an antibiotic with me because I actually came down with a bit of a fever. The food taste great but takes some getting use too. 2.) Dress comfortable. Lots of dust and rocks. Mesquito's are relentless at night, so you may want to cover up a bit. Don't for get the sun glasses. Sun is bright and can also help with the dust that is kicked up from traffic.

Stay at the Park Sheraton The Park Sheraton is a better hotel and value for the money. This hotel is in TNager, small amenities, etc.

Nallis & Sri Krishna Sweets Nallis at T.Nagar & Sri Krishna Sweets at multiple locations + departure lounge at Domestic Airport.
