Well my experience at this hotel was really good, the food was also up to the mark, service was great, the spa facilities were good but cud be improved further,Price tag was on the higher side though ! The pool was too tiny though n one cannot really swim in it!
Very disappointing

I was in Chennai for a few hours on August 20, connecting from a domestic flight arriving in late afternoon to an internation flight at midnight. I stayed at the Raddison hotel, booked through Orbitz.
The Raddison was not cheap, well over 5,000 Rupees for a few hours of stay! I chose the hotel because I wanted to have a hot shower, rest, eat dinner before embarking on my long trip to the United States. Room service was miserably slow, the food was not up to par, and the worst of it was that when I went to take a shower there was no hot water available! Ever tried to wash your hair with cold water late at night in an AC room? I do not recommend the experience.
The staff and guest relation manager could do little about the proble. I guess I can live with the exhorbitant price (around 700 Rupees per HOUR, in my case), but the least I should be able to count on for that kind of price is running hot water, not excuses.

Odour plus but nice staff

The thing that stood out most about this hotel was the great service and generosity of the hotel staff who were always ready to help. When my wife fell ill they got the doctor to our room within half an hour and fetched the pills for her.
Chennai is a very difficult town to get around and the hotel drivers did a marvellous job in negotiating the city. We would have been marooned in our hotel rooms if it not were for these guys.
However, the Club Room which we lived in for 3 days did have a rather unpleasant odour of sewerage about it, and it tended to get worse when the taps were opened. The bed sheets were also smoothed down rather than changed. The furnishings were dated and the place could do with a makeover.
A good effort was made re breakfast and lunch by the restaurant downstairs.
THe hotel provided wireless internet connection, and mirroring what another guest said, the cleaning staff could be extremely loud at night outside our door.

Nice Business Hotel
from daniu
arrived at Chennai the night before and had to fly out to Rajahmundry the very next morning. Radisson Hotel in Chennai was just less than 5 minutes drive from the Chennai airport, which was very convenient for me.
The hotel pickup was swift, and we were at the hote front desk before we even knew it. Check-in was swift...for USD 145 a night, we were given a Club room, which was quite nice really.
The room had a touch of yester years, with colonial style furniture. It also comes with a LCD tv, with more than enough local and international channels to choose from.
Wi-fi internet was also provided for free, which I think was fantastic! We were also able to use th Radisson Club Lounge....nothing to shout about, but to the least there are snacks and some beverages for our consumption.
Breakfast at the coffee house was very good, with both international and Indian cuisine. One thing we found wasn't as good was the in-room dining. Service was slow, very slow indeed....and the quality of food, was far from desirable.
All-in-all, Radisson Chennai is an above average business hotel, clean and good service. Would recommend to stay there again, if I'm back for business.

Great hotel exceptional service
from SWEngineer
The hotel is close to the Airport and this is a positive. It isn't however near much else without a bit of travel. No fear the rickshaws will help there.
My stay was quite pleasant and the staff were exceptional in all of the -normal- services. They did OVER AND ABOVE when I showed signs of an ailment and I needed to get medical consult. They had a doctor in my room within the hour and then they went out twice in the same day to get my needed medications.
If you are staying in Chennai then this is a good value and great service. The room was well kept and comfortable. The 24 hour resturaunt was very good - I don't recomment the kabob resturaunt as the staff seemed too rushed and this was a glaring exception to the balance of the hotel staff.

Feeling like in Alcatraz !!!!
from PopolFrance
Quality of the service is very OK and also the rooms (I used sevaral time the suites). But, one real negative point is the fact that thse high strandard suites are located just near the elevators and the hotel staff was making noise in this area all night long !!! Another very bad point is taht any mouvment you do in the hotel, going out or in, asking friends to come to have a drink, etc. You feel like there is a spy behind you! It is a very bad sensation to feel being observed all the time! This is not what you expect when you are staying in an hotel of this category!
Very Pleasant Stay
from dondi-718
Spent a week at the Radisson Chennai in early October. Even though the hotel caters mainly to business travelers, I found it to be very comfortable for my vacation stay. The amenities are somewhat above average; nice 24 hour cafe and room service, comfortable pool and gym, and my room appeared to have been recently redecorated. However, what really set my experience apart was the hotel staff who were incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. The exceptional service offered by the staff made my stay very enjoyable and comfortable.
