Eat at Ann Lakshmi Great vegetarian restaurant to eat at. Even if you are not vegetarian but love south Indian food, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.
Airport & Beaches If this is your first trip to Chennai and if do not have hotel bookings in advance, then I suggest you defenitely make a hotel reservation in the counter at Airport and ask for a complimentary airport pick up and drop. The traffic at times gets heavy, so try to stay close to your work/visit place. Chennai is always a city at summer so bring light cottons. Just 90 minutes drive/70 kms out of Chennai , is Mamallapuram. It has excellent historic sculptures and temples.This small town is on the beach and you have a quiet time on the beach also. Very nice for a relaxing weekend from busy and bustling Chennai city.
