Hotel is centrally located. Close to Income tax office, US consulate. But the attitude of one Mr Sizzle in the hotel made us feel that the hotel is below par in standards. When we booked two rooms, the price quoted by the said person on behalf of the hotel was Rs.2160 including taxes. He did not mention about extra charges. After going there he started talking about extra person charges. When enquired further, he quoted extra charges will be levied if a third person stays in the room. When further enquired he said person means who is aged 8 years and above. I had my 3 daughters and one of our staff members and accordingly we took two rooms and 3 persons each room should make one extra person in one room and in one room one of my daughters aged less than 8 years was staying. Hence advised Sizzle not to charge extra for one room and he did not accept in the beginning but agreed at last; At the time of settlement of bill, we noticed that he has charged for extra person for both the rooms. We have opted for extra bed in only one and expected to be charged only for one room; When enquired about this there was no sizzle this time, and somebody else at the reception said extra person has to be charged because they have provided us the breakfast complimentary for all of us; I did not understand the logic of providing breakfast on complimentary basis and charging for extra person if they want to say that they provide breakfast on complimentary basis, this question does not arise; Then they should mention cost of breakfast included in the room rent. Any way, if they argue that the breakfast has to be charged, they should charge only for breakfast and not as extra person charge. Further, when they communicate something and bill something it pains. It is not the question of money but the question of integrity and behaviour. We were very much hurt about the incident and lost faith on the system. Just because they had our deposit with them, and they want to adjust everything, nobody can set them right. We felt uncomfortable, unhappy and loss of faith at that point of time. Hope they will improve in future; But they lost one of the best customers like me and my friends because, I am a Chartered Accountant and their hotel is just opposite to our Institute.
