The Dooars offer acres of unspoilt beauty. Sinclairs Retreat is nestled between the mountains amidst all the beauty nature has to offer. We stayed there for 4 days and we greatly enjoyed ourselves. My wife and children kept busy swimming and using the Ayurvedic centre. Some what of an adventure enthusiast, I took the opportunity to go mountain biking and river rafting. The hospitality extended to us by this hotel is one I’d never forget. Worth a recommendation.

The Sinclairs Retreat at Chalsa provides a birds'eye view of the surrounding greenery. The retreat offers many recreational facilities such as swimming, indoor games like table tennis and squash. The outdoor games are in plentiful as well. The food at the reteat could be better. All in all a wonderful experience.

The Dooars is an excellent place to de-stress. Our rooms at Sinclairs Retreat were aesthetically done up and came equipped with a TV and a coffee/tea maker. The washrooms are spotlessly clean. The hotel itself is inviting and we spent a while playing badminton and table tennis. Also, I tried my hand at pool! There are many amenities available at Sinclairs. We made it a point to be at the ayurvedic spa. The swimming pool was a favourite spot for the guests.

The guests of this beautiful resort, mostly women and mostly repeat visitors, told me a lot about the unique experience it offers. Guests came to the resort to celebrate milestone birthdays, jump start a new diet or a healthier lifestyle, or simply lose weight. Some come alone, and others bring groups of far-flung friends together. Many I spoke to had been to the resort before. Beautiful, peaceful natural surroundings, gym and sauna massage, sightseeing of the wildlife sanctuary, the Ayurvedic health centre, and healthy-yet-delicious food in the one (Banyan tree or Tusker Bar) restaurant combine for a rest from the everyday. It's the kind of place that inspires you to return

When my friends plan a trip; then I am the one to say no. But this time I went wrong; we were going to Chalsa. By listening the name I thought that we are going to one of the village, but to my pleasant surprise it was just the opposite of what I said if you are a adventure seeker then the right place to explore is Chalsa which still many people don’t know like me. But guyz ; belief me there is enough for everybody to experience from more than just sight seeing and for this I give the credit to the resort people of SINCLAIRS Retreat Dooars; were we stayed and they just added more and more to our excitement. In between that jungle set-up they provided the best of facility whether it is about the room , food or anything you just name it and they have it. On our request they arranged a sight seeing which was no less than a mini safari ……….yes you people read it right SAFARI – but A MINI ONE from horned rhino to several species of birds like floricans, cuckoo doves, bazas, hornbills and falconets to name a few because I even don’t know all. The SINCLAIRS people do a wonderful job to their customer. I experienced it so if you want to enjoy do look out for them.

My friends and I, tired of going to the same old hang out joints and places, decided to try out some place new. We had heard of Dooars through a friend's father and the description of the place interested us. We booked Sinclairs Retreat Dooars as it's a resort and would give a different feel altogether which we felt a hotel would not. And we didn't really know what the difference was.
On reaching there, we knew we had made the right choice. We were surrounded by lush green lawns and flowers, the hills and the soothing fresh air. It sure felt good!
The interiors of the resort all gave a sense of being in nature and there was a kind of calmness about it all. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious.
The staff was well mannered and took good care of us, though they do need a little grooming. The resort manager later said that they employ locals who are friendly and hardworking but they do lack the suaveness.
The food at the hotel restaurant was tasty and delightful.
The resort's location also enabled us to visit various sites like Samsing, Lava, Gorumaru and even try out White water rafting at the Teesta river. We loved the trekking and the adventure sports. It was wonderful to be out in the open, away from the everyday city noise.
We had a wonderful stay at Sinclairs, something different from what we normally do.

My family and I recently made a trip to Chalsa to take a break from the chaos of the city and booked our stay at Sinclairs Retreat Dooars.
We were overwhelmed by the beautiful greenery and nature at its resplendent best at the resort. The place gave us rarely felt peace and calmness.
Our room was spotless and the interiors simple but comfortable. There was freshness to everything. The staff is well mannered and dutiful, but they need a bit of polish.
The restaurant served good food and we learnt that the vegetables are organically grown at the resort itself. There is also a richly stacked bar.
The resort's location allows convenient access to the various tourist spots and adventure sports sites like white water rafting, bicycle tours to Dooars Village, bird watching spots and trekking from Samsing to Suntalekhola . And in the evenings we would roam about, around the greenery or take a dip in the pool.

We had a wonderful time there and came back refreshed. I would surely recommend Sinclairs to anyone who wants to be lost in nature and greenery for sometime.

My visit to Sinclairs Retreat Dooars was one of the best parts of my trip to India. The staff at the retreat were extremely hospitable. I particularly enjoyed the way the resort is made with long pathways and colorful blooms! We didn't have the time to go white water rafting but that's definitely something I'm coming back for. Great place. Totally relaxing!

Was referred to this place by a friend. You need to visit the place to believe the serenity and beauty. Will strongly recommend everyone to come and stay here. And of course thank me later for recommending this destination!
