Top Local Tips for Bangalore

English speaking driver If you really need an English speaking driver, then book one the night before with reception, as some have only a limited command of English, whilst others are very articulate- but these get booked up early! Also a non A/c car is a fair bit cheaper than one with. So if it isn't too hot when you go, you may not need to pay the extra. I hardly used it. Although in traffic the pollution is a bit too much to have the window open

B'lore is over crowded B'lore has really become over-crowded. I remember B'lore abt 10 yrs ago. It was such a nice green city. Now it has awful traffic. Cant go anywhere. Cant do anything. Just had to stay in the hotel. We wanted to go to Kids kemp which was 6 kms from our hotel and the hotel staff told us it would take 1 hr to reach. Incredible. Avoid B'lore except if u have to go for work. Travel in early morning or late night by car. Or else u'll get trapped in terrible traffic. Might take hours to come out.
