Fresh Lemons in Aurangabadfrom dan3299
The Lemon Tree Hotel combines modern amenities with value. Each room is newly renovated boasting a hardwood floor, luxurious bed, desk, desk light, and full bath with hairdryer. We stayed on a first level room which gave us a garden view and direct access to the pool.
We found the hotel restaurant to be excellent. For breakfast, there is a buffet which carries both Indian and continental foods. Occasionally we had lunch and dinner which were also very good. We recommend the ‘Melting Toastee’ and the ‘Chicken Stronganoff.’
In short, the Lemon Tree in Aurangabad reminded me of a mid-upper tier business/leisure hotel back in the U.S.; however, the Lemon Tree goes beyond anything I have experienced in the States with its well trained staff and its Maharashtran charm! Having stayed at several hotels in Aurangabad over the years, I can safely say that you will not find a better value in Aurangabad at this time.
A Wave of Freshnessfrom pamindia
We were pleasanlty surprised to find such a personalised check-in since we had booked only for a night. The room gave a fresh & clean feeling, with all the necessities that a tired traveller may look forward to. The bathroom too was modern and well stocked.
We enjoyed the little snippets pinned on the board in the room to give the casual atmosphere. In fact, the jokes all along the walls in the corridor and on the tablemats lighten you up. We were very happy with the quality & taste of the food we ordered though I must go back there once again atleast for their famous "lemongrass" soup!
A pleasant surprisefrom 2gals
The hotel even had dvd's and books to loan to the guests.
WIth all the plus points there was one minus:
The pool looked very inviting but when we went to use it we saw that there was a lot of debris in the water; it needed to be cleaned.
Lives up to its reputationfrom TravelerFromNYCity
I have to give special regards to the restaurant. My experience with restaurants at four-star hotels in India has not been great. They frequently cater to the tastes of timid travelers and tend not to challenge the diner with anything resembling tasty local cuisine. However, the Lemon Tree sports a menu that includes some fine regional Maharashtrian dishes and other Indian fare. The breakfast buffet is also above par. I would definitely stay here or at another Lemon Tree property on a future trip in India.
My only regret is that i didn't have a chance to try out the Slounge hotel bar!
Oasis in Aurungabadfrom SydneyAussieexplorer
The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful and they upgraded the rooms we had booked online.
Our airconditiong wasnt working, however we were so tired, it may have been an oversight on our account.
There was some constrution work going on, but overall the hotel facilities were fantastic and the pool and gym area, exceptional.
The restaurant was great for breakfast and would highly reccommend teh lemongrass and ginger soup to anyone who goes there for dinner. Again, the staff were friendly and attentive although, it was a little pricey for dinner, we were just glad to have a great meal. Although there was no alcohol available at the hotel, the bar upstairs looked fun, and will be great when/if they get there licence.
I am from Australia, and will definately be going back to stay at the Lemontree next year when I take my family to Aurungabad.
My dauughter loved the poolfrom WiseOneMumbai
Their bar is not functional yet so we had to make our own arrangements, but I believe it is going to be functional soon.
The ambience of the place is relaxing and its worth what it costs.
not bad at lemontreefrom sukruthi
the reception was slow and erroneous, but the person was very courteous. the hotel is just getting ready with a lot of paint smell and work dust. the layout and location is excellent. the swimming pool and the gym are excellent. the best part was the food - truly the buffet spread was fantastic and very tasty. truly a five star experience.
the front desk made a mess of my billing and over charged inspite of showing them their own confirmation letter sent to me. ultimately they made me pay 1000 rupees more that what they had offered in the reservation confirmation letter citing oversight as the reason. i thought this was very unfair and left a bad taste in our mouth after an excellent stay.
the roooms are good though a bit crampy and cleanliness is good. the best part was the jokes hung as portraits on the wall, as coasters and table liners...
the ajanta and ellora trip was well organised in an ac car and all in all a good experience except for that wrong billing..
Excellent Hotel, Great Servicefrom CFerns
The wi-fi in the room worked well. The Hathway TV receiver would freeze but the regular cable TV has most of the channels, especially the ones my children needed. The Pool is very impressive too. The Suite is very spacious with wooden flooring, microwave (we used it for popcorn) and other amenities such as DVD player. They may even have DVDs on request, I carry movies on my trips so I didn't have to use them. The suite had two balconies over-looking the pool but I wish they had some chairs on them. The best part is that this full service hotel is priced well so you get value for money.
I'll recommend this hotel for business travelers as well as for family vacations.
My Stay in Lemon Tree Hotelfrom nivasa
It was a very comfortable, inexpensive, clean and friendly place. The reception, room service and catering services were excellent. The hotel organized our local sight seeing and visits to Ajanta and Ellora and pick-up and transfer to the rail station at reasonable cost.
The hotel staff including the managers and domestics were very nice and cooperative.
If I get another chance to visit Aurangabad, I will definitely stay in this Hotel.

Like a breath of Fresh Air!from Kelving
I must say that the hotel is awesome...what takes the cake however is the service. There is never a no from anyone. Right from the moment i entered to the moment i left i was treated like GOD.. My wish was their command. The service levels can be matched only by Ritz or some other brand.
Thank you gus for making my stay so special! Will visit again!
Top Local Tips for Aurangabad
Get a Car Hire a car to take you around to Ellora and/or Ajanta if you want to see the caves. It made it possible to spend a day at each site and was much more comfortable than the alternative public busses which are already extremely over-crowded with people and overwhelmingly hot in the Indian sun. Classic Cars has a lot of cars in the area to take people around.
