Its the one of the decent hotels in Amritsar. The greeting and front lounge and dining area are excellent. There is an armed guard inside and its where polititians and stars have stopped over. Its a little dull inside due to the dark wooden features but designed well. Its carpeted and looking aged why not stick to marbel like all the rest? The swimming pool is a no no it was badly maintained with green growth. The rooms were nice again carpeted, bath OK and beds comfortable. There is a lot of development going on and soon there will be higher standerd of hotels. The place is affordable and a good bargain if booked in advance. The city is cheap for most goods and eating out is a bargain too in a good retaurant. Good whiskies are hard to come by their own brands dont tickle me. Beers are really cheap a big fosters bottle for 60p sorted!! You wont go wrong with the location and you'll feel like a celab as many famous people have stopped over although the hotel needs a face lift to make it a bit more contempory but hey I'm just a fusspot.
