If you want to save yourself DONT STAY HERE!!! Worst hotel on the planet, Bed sheets not changed for weeks, Blankets stink of SICK!!! No Air Con, Cockroaches in bathroom came from shaft in bedroom!, No proper windows, porters always asking for tips, No restaurant (BIG LIE) food bought from elsewhere served to you, would not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at hotels in Amritsar before, and found this hotel to be clean, convenient and the people very polite. It has a small restaurant next to the lobby, which has a wide array of tasty food. They do not change towels or freshen up the room unless you ask, which was fine with me as I prefer in certain countries to have my room untouched. I liked this hotel and would go back.

Monkeys As it was our first trip to India we weren't really open minded about how often we would get fleeced. You will see a lot of wildlife on the sides of the roads. Be aware that some of them are with trainers and will let you take a picture and then ask for money for it. Performing monkeys are very common.
take a train from Delhi, it goes quick. other connections take too long.Golden Temple
