Top Local Tips for Agra

Sunrise at the Taj and finest restaurant in Agra Get to the Taj for sunrise (approx 6am in March). Crowds are at a minimum (10s of people rather than 100's after 8am), pleasant temperature and good like for the photos. Definitely worth the early start. For a special restaurant try the Bellevue at the Oberio Taj Vilas - reputedly one of the worlds finest hotels just outside the East Gate. Has great views of the Taj. Approx £25-30 per head for 3 courses. You cannot book if you are not staying there but if you arrive earlybar (6-6:30pm) or later (8:30-9pm) you should get a table. A fantastic bar upstairs is also work a look.

auto rickshaws We used an auto rickshaw to go to the Baby Taj and then to see the Taj Mahal at sunset. The traffic is not for the fainthearted but the experience was unforgettable. We agreed a rate with our driver (A.M. Beg outside the Mansingh Palace hotel) and he was very relaxed about waiting for us at both locations.

agra agra apart from jaipur is a must in india.the taj well it will take your breah away.amaze.make you contemplate,what more need i say.the peace at taj and how it looks so many differant coulours compared to hustle and busstle of rest of agra.bear in mind taj is closed sundays and if you get chance do jaipur
