Seasonality Try to book your trip during the low season (other than the frist 6 weeks of year due to the rainy season). The hotels are only booked to a level of less tha 30%. The deals are good to begin with and there are some short term room rates when doing some impromtu hotel hopping. When making reservations ahead of time only book a room for a few days of your trip. Then when in Bora Bora call all your favorite hotels directly and ask them what they charge if you came within the next few days. If you are ok with a little bit of adventure, you might get rates of up to 50% below the already discounted low season rates.

Bugs and sun Be sure to take plenty of bug spray and sunscreen. The "no-see-ums" can be brutal, although we didn't have any problems at the resort. The sun is very strong, so make sure you bring sunscreen and apply it often.
