Top Local Tips for Nadi
Transfers to Denarau Island Get the taxi!! Taxi was only $25 each way for three of us and they were of good quality and availability. We were quoted $45 per person one way for a coach transfer but the taxi is way way cheaper and gets there quicker than the coach so you don't have to wait to check in with a bus load of other travelers. Just agree on the price before you get in the taxi and watch the look of amazement and delight on the face of the driver when you tip him $5.
Bula Bus If booking a day trip to the other islands through one of the tour operators don't wait for their bus transportation to take you to Denarau harbor. The Westin/Sheraton/Villas blue "Bula Bus" also stops by the harbor on its rounds between the three properties and will save you the long, tedious stops at every other hotel on the island while you pick up the rest of your group and then end up in a long line at the harbor to get your boarding passes.
stay elsewhere Right next to the Sheraton Fiji is both the westin denarau island resort & spa and also sheraton denarau villas. Both of these property's were fantastic and I would recommend staying in one of those instead
