City walls Whatever you do, make the effort to walk the city walls, they are wonderful and offer a great opportunity to stretch your legs away from the crowds while understanding more of Xi'an's history

Xi'an is more than just the Terracotta Warriors Be sure to visit the city center and the area surrounding the Bell Tower. On the weekend night we visited, many locals were enjoying the evening out on Muslim Street, a pedestrian mall featuring numerous outdoor restaurants, vendors and shops. Excellent opportunity for people-watching and sampling the local fare. Great way to sample life in Xi'an and to absorb some local color.
