Queen Spa, Shenzhen This spa is highly overated and very expensive. I found it dirty, and we did not like sharing our experience with all and sundry. It felt like we were in a bowling alley - very noisy, people watching television, smoking, eating. It should be a place of relaxation. We asked for a private room and had the room to ourselves. At the end of our massage they asked us if we would like our ears cleaned, we said yes, then a couple of minutes passed and a man entered and said that our time was up in the private room and we had to pay more to stay and finish the treatment - catch 22, we had to pay.

Lo Wu If going to LoWu for shopping be aware that if you are anything more than a size 10-12 womens you may have difficulty finding clothing to fit you. Head straight to a tailor but do some research before you leave home take some pictures of clothes that you would like to have made and be prepared, ie, know what fabrics you might want etc - although there are a million to choose from that becomes the problem you get lost at the fabric markets and choosing becomes a chore. We used Stepahnie from Lark International as our tailor she is in Shop No. 5060A (5th floor) - I thought she was wonderful. We also found some great deals for the kids ie. take off Billabong and other surf brands t.shirts and boardies, its endless really, shoes, bags, watches, dvds, u name it they can get it.

Haggle If shopping, NEVER pay more than 1/3 the asking price. Regardless what they say....If you say thanks and walk away with your final offer - they run after you and say okay to your price - every time.... I learned the hard way and spent WAY too much on things.
