Summer Town Mall The Summer Town Mall in Da Dong has an outdoor food court that opens after 5. The food there is cheap and delicious! There are lots of pictures so you can just point at what you want. If you want seafood without the hassle, this a good choice. Some of the seaside restaurants are not upfront about their seafood prices and surprise you at the end of the meal. I loved the TsingTao beer stand. For 5RMB you get your choice of 4 flavors of beer. Try the red one of you want to stay sober. It tastes like grape soda with just a hint of beer. I don't think it has much (if any) alcohol in it. You can also find some great fresh fruit smoothie stands in the area. For 10RMB you can choose three fruits to be blended together for a nice refreshing drink. There is a Coke stand there too, for 3RMB you get an 8 ounce cup of Coke. If you want to get a slightly better deal, go into the supermarket nearby and get a 16 ounce bottle of Coke for 2.5 RMB.

Sanya....the Perfect Travel Time Although I traveled to Sanya twice, once in July 2002 and again in July 2008, I also traveled to mainland China in December 2001. Depending on your ability to stretch your days into weeks, the best time to go there is definitely in December. That is the month when they usually have the least rainfall. July is the month when they had the most rainfall because that is part of the Monsoon season. Traveling to Hainan Province in the summer months may also involve checking for typhoons, which are Pacific Hurricanes. The temperature in Sanya in January is still tropical but not quite so hot. In the summertime, the temperature and humidity will be worse than most places in the southern USA. Take a few clean face cloths to keep your face dry. The advantage of going there in the summer is the numerous harvests of all the tropical fruit, especially the lychee berry, bananas, mangos, and other regional fruit not found in our normal markets.
