I travel to Kunming often because my wife lives there. In a few years, I will retire there. I have stayed at the Bank Hotel many times and always enjoyed it. However, my wife books through her company in Kunming so we get an excellent rate. However, most web sites offering room rates are far above what the local folks pay--so be aware.
