I found the Stanford by accident--and glad I did! Friendly, courteous staff; good rates; immaculate room! Close to the Markets, 2 MTR stops and 1 KCR station. Services abound in the surrounding area! I'll be back!

Decent value for the budget conscious

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. A little cramped but okay for a place to shower and rest after spending each day out. Excellent value. Centrally located in the Mong Kok community of Hong Kong. I would definitely return. Within walking distance to China Travel Service to get the charter buses into China. If your not looking for anything fancy, spending as little time in your room as possible, this is the place. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Top Local Tips for Hong Kong

Teenage girls paradise - Argyle Centre The only shopping mall I truly liked in Hong Kong is Argyle Centre. I'm a 19 year old girl who loves to shop for nice design clothing at cheap prices. And Argly Centre is the place to go for teenage girls! Especially for those who loves shopping at fareast plaza or bugis street in Singapore. =D. Their clothes are much cheaper compared to Singapore. Most range from 8 to 20 SGD? Depends on your bargaining skills. They have nice accessories and shoes too. I bought back lots of clothes =p. Most free size can fit me, I'm M to L size in Singapore. However, they do not allow trying of clothes. Most belts cost around 4 to 5 SGD, but it depends on its design and quality. I bought 2 at more than 10 SGD each coz I really like their design, which are not seen in Singapore. Their bags are not that cheap though, slightly lower than the price down here, but you MUST bargain. You can cut the price by alot, esp for bags, from around 160 to 110 HKD? Thats all!

OCTOPUS - Travelling around HK on a single 'tap and go' card get their OCTOPUS card for HKD150 (refundable balance + HKD47) to travel round HK. Save you a good deal of money, you can even get your balance back. Go to many places as the rails are wide reaching throughout HK. Best of all, you can use OCTOPUS with most of the other public transport such as buses and trams. You can even buy items from shops that accepts OCTOPUS.

In My Opinion The Best City in The World See it all - enjoy the modern architecture of Hong Kong Island financial districts, shopping in the designer shops, the culture of old Hong Kong, shopping in the street markets and eating with the locals. Hong Kong offers such diversity just do it all!
