Octopus Card Get an "Octopus Card" from nearly anywhere! like convenince stores: like a credit card for use on all public transportation incuding ferries, buses, mini-buses, trolleys, MTR (subway),some attractions. Just buy a card with whatever $ amount you want on it, can add to it by stopping in the convencience store and hand them your card with $20HK or whatever you want. Remember, about $8HK is $1 US. You'll use it alot. I think you can even sell it back when your done, but at a discount, or sell it to another needy tourist! Every time you use it, it gives you the balance, you just hold it up in front of the screen for it to read and debit it.

Octopus Card Buy an Octopus card if you are using public transport. The underground network is quick and easy way to get around all of Hong Kong. Taxis are Ok and I found them all to be honest (not so in the philippines!). As always, anywhere, make sure your pockets and valuables are secure when out and about. Asia has some of the worlds finest pickpockets! Hong Kong is a great place to explore. Generally Safe and Secure day and night for tourists of all ages with a huge variety of entertainment and locations.

Underground System Coming from using the London Underground this was a dream, efficient, clean and safe.
