Top Local Tips for Hong Kong
Airport Express I don't consider any other mode of travel to and from the airport other than the Airport Express - the fastest and most pleasant way to get to and from the city centers. Get a round trip, you save $10 each way. Plus the free Airport Express shuttles take you close to most of the hotels. No more long waits and traffic!
Shopping At the Markets!!! I hardly step into any malls in HK to shop, I shop mostly at the markets or lanes. Here are some of my findings for my 4 days in HK : 1. Li Yuen Street East at Central MTR (Opposite H&M) to get cheap & nice children's clothes. 2. Go to Hong Kong Ind Centre at Lai Chi Kok MTR to get ladies apparels, shoes & accessories at wholesale prices (though some shops only do wholesale). 3. Visit Esprit outlet at TST MTR Hankow Street, behind Kowloon Hotel. This is one of the biggest besides the one in Tung Chung. 4. Walk through Granville Rd in TST to get cheap young fashion and there is a shop name Lung Shing Pharmacy that sells very cheap skincare products like Clinique, SK2 etc. 5. Tai Yuen Street at Wanchai MTR has plenty of quality toys at cheap prices to offer.
Airport Express to Wanchai Take Bus H1 at the Central Station, get off at the Empire Hotel and just cross the street going to Metropark Wanchai.
