Get the bus from the airport to the hotel Get the bus from the airport - it stops outside the hotel door - I think it's the A26 (?) and you pay much much less than a taxi

MTR use the MTR from the minute you arrive at HK. We were fortunate that our Hotel was close to an MTR station and were able to catch the train from the Airport to the hotel without any hassles. Once you have arrived at HK airport and passed through Customs there is a small desk on the left hand side that you can purchase an 'Octapus Card'. This is an electronic debit card that allows you to load it up with cash and then just swipe in & out of the MTR as you need. We never had to wait any longer than a couple of minutes for a train and connections to other lines are more often than not a matter of getting off your train and walking accross a concourse to find your connecting train waiting. If you miss it no matter another will be along in a minute or so.

Octopus Card is a must! mult-purpose travel card that can be used on many forms of transport and can be used to pay for things quickly and conveniently. Rechargable at stations and many shops!
