Top Local Tips for Hong Kong

Wong Tsai Sin Temple Off the beaten track for tourists, but very popular temple with the locals. It's easy to find, right off the MTR stop named after it in Kowloon. The place was buzzing with activity the day we were there. The Buddha image is supposed to be strong in the prosperity department, and people were bringing everything from school reports to racing forms for blessings and making lots of offerings. An adjacent garden features a longevity pool with turtles, and a landscaped version of the yin-yang image. There is a Buddhist nunnery nearby with a nice garden, as well.

Picked up at as you walk off the plane, whisk through formalities then in a cool Merc for the trip to the hotel. greeted at hotel door and taken to room for check in. Time from leaving plane to arriving in room - less than one hour. It's an extra charge but worth it

Dinner and drinks in that order If can get a member go to the China Club at the top of the old Bank of China building for a wonderful meal in old world charm. The go to Lan Kwai Fong for a couple of beers and watch the scene on the street (its open virtually till the morning)!
