not impressed with overnight trip to Mongolian tent The green fields with wind turbines are pretty, but overall we felt ripped off. Once you arrive there's nothing to do but take their horseback riding trip (200 RMB per person for 3 hours). The dome shaped rooms made to look like nomad tents are pretty crappy and not at all worth what you pay for them. They're made of concrete, with sparse dirty interiors and no heaters (and it gets cold at night). There are bed frames with extremely thin mats on top, made to look like beds but unbelievably hard! When I spread out the blanket they left folded on the bed, a black spider crawled out of it. They only turn on the hot water for 2 hours at night, and during the first hour there's a show going on outside. The show is not much more than Mongolian-style karaoke sung by young people in shiny costumes outside in the cold.
