At today's exchange rate this room was USD 450 night, not your bargain stay. Visually beautifully but in 3 nights still found ourselves bumping into furniture. To close the blinds in the bathroom, you first go into the shower than climb into the tub. The light for the toilet is 2 rooms away and if you get up at night will shine in the eyes of anyone else in the bed. There is one light switch for 9 lights, throughout the room. Come in later after your partner is in bed and the entire room lights up. Even though McDonalds will give you a refill of coffee for free, they charge and say they have to brew each cup separately. I will not go on, but would never go back, really nothing in the hotel is worth the price. Oh yes, they say they cater to the business man who can write it all off!!!!!

Top Local Tips for Hangzhou

Traffic Like most bustling citys the area by West Lake can have TONS of traffic. It took me about 2 hours to go about 15 miles. Keep in mind that it was a Friday around 9am and it was a magnificent day. I also think there might have been an accident. If you going on business and need to travel away from West lake, give yourself ample time. Talk to the front desk and ask them what they recommend in terms of how much time to allot for traveling within the city

Dragon's Well Tea The local tea is called Lonjin, or Dragon's Well. It is a grassy, light tea. There is a tea shop around the corner from the hotel. Unfortunately, the proprietor does not speak English and everything is labeled in Chinese. You would need to have the hotel concierge write the name of the team on a card and hand it to the shop owner.

July - no no no It is way too hot to go around the city in July. Way hot.
