Hot Pot You must try Hot Pot while you are there ! It is a chili broth, heated at the table and you cook meat, fish, veg etc in the broth. A very communal eating experience! It is very spicy. Also, if you can get to a supermarket you can get Hot Pot mixes for about 60 pence so you can try at home
100 stores The travel agent tells you that you can't bargain because prices are already quite reasonable. But you can actually. Of couse, if you buy the cheap stuff -- like fans, hats that are 10 RMB and less -- you could still haggle a little bit. But souvenirs like handpainted bottles even clothing -- BARGAIN away! And start 20% from given price. The storekeepers are actually quite courteous. And they expect you to bargain.
