Enjoyed our Stay
from KushLondonThe room's were nice, comfortable and large though somewhat inconsistent. My colleagues and myself all had Executive King rooms but mine was much smaller than their's. However this is a minor issue.
At S$25 the breakfast is very expensive for the variety of food offered. I would suggest offering items such as fresh pancakes and french toast for example rather than the usually dull offering's.
I would also like to commend Luke at the front desk- he was polite and very helpful.
Overall I would stay here again.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your stay and especially, for recognising Luke at Reception. I will certainly pass on your feedback and I am sure he will be very pleased.
We appreciate your constructive feedback regarding breakfast, it is quite timely. Our new Executive Chef is currently reviewing the breakfast offering and we will incorporate your suggestions into our review.
I look forward to welcoming you back to Rydges Perth in the future.

Top service without being stuffy
from DeSpanishThe Internet is expensive. No WiFi and costs range from $11 per hour to $22 per day.
The restaurant is also pricey, $25 for breakfast. Food in Australia is pricey as are the cabs. There is a market on Hay Street where you can purchase some groceries to store in your fridge at the hotel if you need to budget yourself.
Additionally, you must visit Kings Park! I took a morning run there and it truly was one of the most beautiful runs I have ever taken. If you don't run, walk and enjoy. The birds, the flora, and the views were stunning. The hotel staff was helpful with their directions, and highly recommended the park.
Thank you for your gracious comments, I will be sure to pass them on to the team at Rydges Perth. They are always keen to hear how our guests have enjoyed their stay. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Kind regards,

Really good experience
from TravellingWilbarryTravel agent who booked our flights suggested breaking the trip into 2 parts. I had booked hotel on the internet AUD 140 for superior queen room. Great welcome at the Rydges after a long (10hr) journey. I'd requested an early check-in when I booked, but was told they could not guarantee it. I was anxious since we only had one day in Perth & were arriving at 9am - so didn't want to hang around knackered until 2pm ! We were however very fortunate and were checked in as soon as we arrived and there was no issues nor wait at all.
Room and bathrom were spacious, clean and good quality decor & furnishings. Just what the doctor ordered. Room faced the city not the river but since we were only spending one night it wasn't a big deal. Freshened up and had a good nap - headed out on a Swan River cruise at lunch time to Fremantle. Trains were cancelled and took a complimentary bus service back to town. Quite fun actually - struck by the friendly and accommodating people. Will stay at Rydges again any time. BTW they have a neat newsletter that tells you about events happening in the city you're visiting & also useful travel info. You can subscribe to it online at their website.
Oh just remembered, the shuttle service returning to the airport the next morning took over an hour - ( a journey of 10-15 minutes) we were collected and then stopped at every hotel in the CBD including a trip past some train station. We were told to take an early shuttle since the next shuttle wouldn't get us to the airport in time - but we could just as well have waited for the later shuttle as it would have made no difference, the next shuttle was right behind us ! So much for early bird ;-)
Good City Hotel
from TwobucksGreat location in central Perth
from FionaHamiltongreat location
from scottwa2468Thank you for your feedback it is greatly appreciated. The location of our hotel seems to be one of our most popular assets.
Our drop off zone is unfortunately the down side of this location, in that we are without a driveway entrance area for vehicles and as such are limited to the drop off zone which whilst a public space, has been established primarily for the use of hotel patrons.
Please accept my apologies for not being able to offer you a smoking room. We allocate non smoking & smoking based upon availability but do at all times try to meet our customer requests. We can place a smoking request permanently in your profile for you, simply ask for this upon your next stay.
I look forward to welcoming you back to Rydges Perth.

Good but not special
from Londoner29The room was adequate and couldn't be faulted, though it was nothing special, with the oldest Tv I have ever seen. The good thing about the hotel is the location, it is near all the shopping facilities and close to Northbridge and the train station to Freemantle.
I found The CBD restaurant a tad confusing at first; for guests when they get their breakfast, no one greeted me so I did not know if I could sit anywhere or whether I was suppose to flag down one of the waiters to get a table? When I got the waiters attention and was seated I found the breakfast buffet was pleasant enough with good service. Overall an average hotel that is ok, but nothing to write home about.
Thank you for your feedback, as it is important to us as they afford us an opportunity to review our procedures and effect enhancements.
Firstly let me apologise for the lack of service when you arrived at Rydges Perth, the Hotel consistently meets guest expectations and on this occasion we were unable to provide the level of service that you required and based on this feedback will be working on solutions to improve our customer service both within the CBD Restaurant & Bar and Front Office areas.
We thank you again for your valued feedback and I hope that when you are next staying at Rydges Perth you will be able to see the changes.

Top Local Tips for Perth
Go to freemantle for the day Go on the river boat to freemantle , have a good walk around /book a tour then return on the train . Brilliant day out lovely quaint place
Boats + Free buses Use the boats to travel to the various places on the river, ie Freemantle, Rotnest Island. Use the Cat buses that are free.
You 'Must' go here! If you fancy a rather lovely champagne bar, where you can have oysters as well then you should visit Must, in Mount Lawley. We were en route to eat at Jackson's next door and popped in for some champagne...there is an excellent champagne bar on the first floor where you can everything from vintage Dom Perignon to Moet and a super barman who can advise on what would be best. Definately worth a visit!
