Top Local Tips for Perth

Get To rottnest From hotel head North to Hillaries (or I think south to Fremantle) for a ferry to Rottnest...it is an islabnd of the coast where all the locals go, hint I got from a local head to teh bakery. Head to one of the coves/beaches, went to the pub ...just the best.

Yanchep National Park Take the trip 40km north to Yanchep NP to see the wildlife early in the morning. There's a protected koala enclosure, a tranquil lake-side walk where you can see many birds and snake-necked turtles and wallabies are common. Near the golf course it may be possible to see an emu or two.

Missing Airport? Travelling South into Perth on the freeway is entirely devoid of signs for the airport. We got on the wrong road and finished up near Freemantle so I can't tell you which route to take. Fortunately the place is not that big and it isn't that difficult to find your way arond the minor roads. Just be careful.
