my wife and i stayed in this hotel as a pre cruise break booked through cruise1st.co.uk.the only thing positive to say about this hotel is that the location was excellent and the room clean.there were three couples booked into this hotel, a full coachload less us ,were booked in other hotels in the centre of perth.the hotel is a dump,uncomfortable and in need of a complete refurbishment. the cellar bar was filthy with graffiti all over the seats and walls.be warned.

Price and location are the best. Will definetely come back again to stay with Criterion Hotel.

Top Local Tips for Perth

Use the free CAT services Use the free CAT services in and around the CBD - if you go outwith the boundaries (these will be explained to you on boarding) you need to pay from where you got on but stay within the permitted zones and it wont cost a cent. Also travelling from Perth CBD to Cottesloe Beach (taking the Freemantle line) is well worth it ($3.20 each way on the train) and there is a free bus to take you to the beach and back. The bus meets every train coming into the station. What a great idea :-)

Kings Park This park is great for the kids to expend their energy. The playgroud is huge and fun. Wanted to try the tree top walk but was closed by 5pm. What a waste.
