Weather in Coral Bay The best time of year to go is may to september when temperatures aren't so hot and you are less likely to get strong winds. Temps round June/July are about 20 to 30oC during the day and around 10oC at night. You can still get windy days and occasionally very heavy rain that lasts only a few hours, floods the campsite and then an hour later there is no water to be seen. It is also the busiest time of year so you need to book well in advance especially during school holiday periods. If you don't mind the heat and have plenty of time, march and april are great. The temp during this time of year ranges from low 30's to low 40's. There are less people staying and you can usually book a tour for the next day unless the weather turns bad. Allow at least a week as your tours may get postponed due to strong winds from cyclones further up north. The cyclones rarely actually come down to coral bay but make it hot, humid and often very windy for a few days
